UMM is the project of singer and composer Lise Daelemans. Influenced by musicians such as Julia Holter, Warpaint and Beach House, she and her band make experimental pop music. Tight grooves, synths and fragile harmonies are the ingredients for their songs. After the successful first EP 'The Good Side', they performed at Gent Jazz, De Handelsbeurs, OLT Rivierenhof and De Roma. Besides the Belgian shows, they also played in Lucerne (CH), Olten (CH) and Stuttgart (DE).In april 2021 UMM released their second EP entitled "Libra". In June 2021, they toured Austria and Germany with this EP. At the moment, UMM is working in the studio on their debut album, which will be released in the autumn of 2022. You can expect the first single from March 2021.
“They experiment with arrangements and tempo changes easily and it all sounds evident. A fantastic warm sound and Daelemans' voice making a big impression. UMM has delivered a magical record that we will enjoy for a long time.” - Luminous Dash (BE)
'As if Warpaint recently had a date with Nicolas Jaar.’ - Indiestyle (BE)
