ENGLBRT is the collaborative duo of Georges Goerens and Niels Engel. After being active in acclaimed projects within the Luxembourgish music scene, both musicians retreated for a residency into renowned culture hub Kulturfabrik during the pandemic to eventually come up with ENGLBRT's distinctive sonic palette. Drawing on a long legacy of instrumental and genre-bending music, with a sound that is slow and widescreen, ENGLBRT incorporates elements of electronica, contemporary jazz and well-crafted indie-pop that can be heard on their second EP SONG(E)S, coming out on Berlin label Listenrecords on the 5th of June 2026. SONG(E)S has been written over the past years throughout several residencies, capturing the melancholy defining our current times, whilst taking cues from the endless scroll of everyday life. The new EP is a dazzling soundtrack to our accelerated culture, shaping new sonic possibilities in the process.
